The Thompson Tommies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Kindred, falling 74-41. Thompson has not had much luck with Kindred recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Several Tommies players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Karter Peterson, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds. Peterson also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Drew Overby, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Thompson has fallen quite a ways from their 19-8 record last season and are now at 2-4. As for Kindred, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Thompson will head out on the road to face off against Central Cass at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Dakota (Central Cass is ranked 44th, while Thompson is ranked 54th). As for Kindred, they will be playing at home against Oak Grove Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
