1. Bozeman
Head coach: Wes Holmquist
2014-15 record: 17-8

The Hawks lost in the first round of the Class AA playoffs and then fell in the consolation finals to Hellgate. Although senior Adam Huse has graduated, all-conference players Bennett Hostetler, Aaron Weidenaar and Trace Bradshaw all return.

2. Billings West
Head coach: Doug Robison
2014-15 record: 21-4

Billings West loses two of the state's top players in Jared Samuelson and Danny Betcher. They helped lead the Golden Bears to the state championship game, where they fell to Skyview. Nevertheless, Billings West always figures in the state championship conversation, as it has not won less than 18 games in the past 10 years and has won three state titles during that time.

3. Skyview (Billings)
Head coach: Toby Hill
2014-15 record: 19-5

The Falcons got hot at season's end and captured the Class AA state championship with a 62-56 win over Billings West. The state champs will miss Nolan McHugh and Kendall Manuel, each of whom earned second team all-state honors. However Rayquan Evans, an honorable mention all-conference choice, returns for Skyview.

4. Helena
Head coach: John Hollow
2014-15 record: 11-9

The Bengals finished around .500 last season, but they have one of the state's top returning players in Ragen Shein. A 6-foot-6 forward, Schein averaged 14 points and seven rebounds per game last season. Helena graduated just four seniors and had a large junior class returning.

5. Capital (Helena)
Head coach: Guy Almquist
2014-15 record: 16-8

The Bruins lost a bunch of talent from last year's squad, including all-state selection Keegan Syvrdum, but Capital is only two years removed from winning a state championship and coach Almquist has averaged 18 wins a season for the past four years.
