The La Pryor Bulldogs''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They took a serious blow against Rocksprings, falling 40-6. La Pryor was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Rocksprings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Dareon Vasquez punched in a rushing score. Abel Longoria was his top target, gaining 84 total yards.
La Pryor's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 7.6 points per game. As for Rocksprings, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
La Pryor will head out on the road to face off against Charlotte at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Charlotte is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak. As for Rocksprings, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Sabinal at 7:00 p.m. Sabinal is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
