The Twin Valley Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Springfield Cosmos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Twin Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Twin Valley strolled past Leland & Gray with points to spare, taking the game 65-46. With that victory, Twin Valley brought their scoring average up to 50.9 points per game.
Twin Valley found their leader in underclassman Brayden Brown, who scored 21 points along with eight assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Sullivan, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Springfield ended up a good deal behind Rivendell Academy on Tuesday and lost 62-43. Springfield has not had much luck with Rivendell Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
The victory makes it two in a row for Twin Valley and bumps their season record up to 8-5. As for Springfield, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
Twin Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Springfield when the teams last played last Monday, winning 48-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Twin Valley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
