Pickens posted their closest win since August 5th on Saturday. They skirted past the Adairsville Tigers 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won six in a row.

Pickens had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-21, 15-12.

Hannah Stalcup paced Pickens' offense, picking up ten kills. Stalcup got some help from Sophia Derstine and her 19 assists. Sheila Flores controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Pickens' win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Adairsville, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Pickens has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against White County on the 19th. As for Adairsville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Sonoraville on the 19th.
