The team also got some help courtesy of Zack Boemeke, who posted six points along with 14 boards and seven assists.
University Prep's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 20-8. As for West Valley, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 18-10.
University Prep and West Valley should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. University Prep will face off against Willows at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday up 1,011 places (342 vs. 1353). University Prep will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. Similarly, West Valley (ranked 545th) will meet Live Oak (ranked 1117th) at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
