Two dominant  guards in  Grady Paynter and  Asher Flanery are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The St. Joseph Central Irish will head out on the road to  square off against  the Buffalo Bison at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Given that  the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this  contest.
 St. Joseph Central pushed their score all the way to 62 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Wayne  68-62. It was the first time  this season that St. Joseph Central let down their fans at home.
 Meanwhile, Buffalo pushed their score all the way to 61 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell  71-61 to Wayne. Buffalo just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
 Buffalo's  defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of  Flanery, who  scored 19 points along with five  rebounds, and  Jackson Mallett who  scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Nicholoas Pitchford, who  scored nine points.
 Even though they lost, Buffalo  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 13  offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wayne only pulled down six  offensive rebounds.
 St. Joseph Central's loss  ended  a  five-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 8-7. As for Buffalo, they now  have a losing record at 8-9.
 St. Joseph Central was taken down by Buffalo 69-35 in their previous meeting  back in February of 2023. Can St. Joseph Central avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
