The Fort Loramie Redskins will head out on the road to face off against the St. Henry Redskins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Fort Loramie focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday.
Fort Loramie's 18-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 46-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jackson Center.
Despite their loss, Fort Loramie saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Alex Boeger, who scored 11 points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Spencer Knouff, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, St. Henry's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 55-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Coldwater.
The losing side was boosted by Evan Bowers, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Bergman, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Fort Loramie now has a losing record at 1-2. St. Henry's record now sits at 1-3.
Keep an eye on the arc in Tuesday's match: Fort Loramie have been dynamite from deep this season, having nailed 42% of their threes per game. It's a different story for St. Henry, though, as they've only made 36.3% of their threes per game this season. Given Fort Loramie's sizeable advantage in that area, St. Henry will need to find a way to close that gap.
Fort Loramie beat St. Henry 67-57 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fort Loramie since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
