2A Greater St. Helens recap Oct. 16, 2012
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Long, who took down 129th ranked Long, 28-20.
Mark Morris extended the longest winning streak in 2A Greater St. Helens this week by beating Ridgefield, 21-14. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Ridgefield's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Spudders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Gunnar Long has thrown for 851 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Sam Gillenwater has 12 catches for 409 yards. Clayton Farr leads the league in rushing with 572 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Spudders take on the Lumberjacks. As it stands, Ridgefield is in second, while Long is in third.
Mark Morris made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,898 from 3,899. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 21-14 victory over Dan Andersen's team last week.
