The Lewiston Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 57-47 to Sterling. Lewiston found out winning isn't easy when you're outrebounded 13 to 6 on offense.
Despite the loss, Lewiston still got an impressive performance from Brady Bledsaw, who scored 24 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bledsaw has scored all season. Tristen Ray was another key contributor, scoring four points along with ten assists and three steals.
Sterling found their leader in underclassman Brody Horstman, who scored 29 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Wambold, who scored 17 points.
Lewiston's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Sterling, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-13.
Lewiston will take on Lourdes Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Lourdes Central Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday. Sterling will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tri County on February 9th.
