Jordan got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Preston Cheney out in front who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayden Doyle, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and four blocks.
Hillcrest's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rhett Robinson, who scored eight points along with seven assists. Those seven assists set a new season-high mark for him. Damani Wilkerson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds.
Jordan has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-9 record this season. As for Hillcrest, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
Jordan will head out on the road to face off against Stansbury at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hillcrest, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cottonwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cottonwood is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
