The Gates County Red Barons scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 71-51 margin over Martin County. Gates County has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.
Gates County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kyndall Banks led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten steals. Banks hasn't dropped below three steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of London Barber, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Gates County is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Martin County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Washington County the next time they take the court. Gates County will head out to face Washington County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Martin County will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
