The Clopton Hawks stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They blew past Louisiana 60-28 on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-15.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clopton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Charleigh Spoonster, who scored seven points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. Spoonster has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Noah, who scored 18 points.
Clopton is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Louisiana, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Clopton and Winfield will face off at 7:15 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Winfield is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Louisiana will take on Wright City at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
