Malcolm took their match at home on Thursday with ease, bagging a 58-14 win over Ralston. Malcolm might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four games by 22 points or more this season.
Malcolm found their leader in underclassman Halle Dolliver, who scored 23 points along with seven steals. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which Dolliver has scored at least 25% of Malcolm's points. Another player making a difference was Abby Zegar, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Malcolm's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Ralston, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Malcolm won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Nebraska City at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th. Nebraska City will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings (they are ranked 218th, while Malcolm is ranked 39th). As for Ralston, they will head out on the road to face off against Wahoo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
