The Madison Academy Mustangs will square off against the Sparkman Senators at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Madison Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.8 runs per game this season.
Madison Academy's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed two weeks ago. They blew past Whitesburg Christian Academy 10-0. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Not much got past Cataryna Schreiber, who gave up just a hit and racked up 12 Ks to keep Whitesburg Christian Academy off the board. Schreiber has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Evie Stephenson was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Amiyah Dixon was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
Madison Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Whitesburg Christian Academy only posted a batting average of .053.
Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Sparkman's offense. They came up short against Central on Saturday, falling 11-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Senators have suffered since April 17, 2025.
Sparkman has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season. As for Madison Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Sparkman's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Madison Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Sparkman, though, as they've been averaging only 1.6 strikeouts. Will Madison Academy keep running through batters, or will the Senators buck the trend?
Madison Academy couldn't quite get it done against Sparkman in their previous meeting back in March of 2016 as they fell 4-1. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
