The Roxborough Wolves waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins but they left with four. They managed a 57-51 win over High School of the Future. For Roxborough, this counts as revenge for the 73-55 loss High School of the Future walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2020.
Roxborough got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sahir Smith out in front who scored 13 points along with five steals and three blocks. Smith hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Josh Jones was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six assists and three steals.
Roxborough's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for High School of the Future, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.
Roxborough will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against South Philadelphia at 3:15 p.m. As for High School of the Future, they will head out on the road to face off against Martin Luther King at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Martin Luther King is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
