Friday's matchup might be decided in the trenches. Veterans Memorial has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 447.5 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo, though, as they've been averaging only 68.5 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Veterans Memorial beat Pharr-San Juan-Alamo 35-23 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Bears' Myles Lopez, who threw for 354 yards and one TD, and also rushed for 73 yards on only eight carries. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Chargers to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
