After losing to the Citizens Christian Academy Patriots the last time they met, the Southwest Georgia Academy Warriors decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Southwest Georgia Academy snuck past the Patriots with a 51-46 victory on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Southwest Georgia Academy.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Southwest Georgia Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Charlie Davis, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Davis has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ella Ashley, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.
Despite the loss, Citizens Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Addy Harris, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Harris has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last nine times she's played.
Southwest Georgia Academy has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Citizens Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southwest Georgia Academy will take on the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Grace Christian Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses. As for Citizens Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against the Generals at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Georgia (Georgia Christian is ranked 290th, while the Patriots are ranked 274th).
