Mize waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Collins Tigers 8-2. Considering the Bulldogs have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Trey Myers, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Walker Sullivan, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Mize always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .515 or higher in three consecutive games.

Mize's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Collins, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4-1.

Mize has already played their next match, a 5-3 victory against Wayne Academy on the 8th. Collins has also already played their next contest (against Heidelberg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
