The Miller Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Wellston Golden Rockets at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Miller focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Miller was able to grind out a solid win over Berne Union, taking the game 32-23. The win was just what Miller needed coming off of a 71-18 loss in their prior match.
Miller's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lillian Anderson, who scored 6 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Clara Gabriel, who scored 10 points.
Meanwhile, after only 23 points in their last contest, Wellston made sure to put some points up on the board against Oak Hill on Tuesday. Wellston blew past Oak Hill, posting a 69-14 victory at home.
The losses dropped Miller to 1-1 and Berne Union to 0-2.
Miller took a serious blow against Wellston in their previous matchup back in November of 2021, falling 51-21. Can Miller avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
