Union might be getting used to good results now that the team have four wins in a row. On Friday, they came out on top in a nail-biter against Nevada, sneaking past 23-20. The margin of victory was a little narrower than expected seeing as Union are ranked 123 places ahead of Nevada in the state rankings.
Union struggled in the first half and ended with zero points. Nevada couldn't get anything started offensively, either, which meant the halftime score sat untouched at 0-0. The offense for Union put that tie to bed by coming up with 23 points in the second half to win the game. The win bumped their record up to 6-2. Nevada are on a three-game losing streak that has brought their record down to 3-5.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Union take on West Marshall at 7:30 PM. Union will be strutting in after a victory while West Marshall will be stumbling in from a loss. Nevada will be staying on the road, facing off against Roland-Story.
