Eisenhower has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Tuesday. They will square off against the Valley Center Hornets at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Eisenhower focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
Eisenhower struggled with assists on Friday (Maize had 1500% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Eisenhower fell 57-44 to Maize. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Eisenhower in their matchups with Maize: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the defeat, Eisenhower had strong showings from Larsen Schneider, who scored 12 points along with 9 rebounds, and Pierce Blue, who scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Valley Center was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 57-52 to Andale. Valley Center has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Doc Needham, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Colby J newton, who scored 19 points along with 8 rebounds.
Eisenhower's win lifted them to 1-1 while Maize's loss dropped them down to 2-1.
Eisenhower beat Valley Center 59-49 in their previous matchup back in February. Will Eisenhower repeat their success, or does Valley Center have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
