Tony Marshall Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, Plant City got the W thanks in part to Tony Marshall playing the best football he has all season. Marshall rushed for 201 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (106.4). Those 201 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
Plant City's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Marshall and Plant City will head out to face off against Newsome at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Chris Denson Dazzles in Plant City Win
Keeping Marshall company is Chris Denson, a fellow Plant City player. He threw for 301 yards and three touchdowns while completing 86.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played.
Alonso's probably not too fond of Denson given he always seems to get the better of them. Denson threw for 301 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries the last time he and the Ravens duked it out back in September of 2023.

Joseph Glennon Turns in Season-Best Performance
Sadly, Joseph Glennon posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Alonso over Plant City on Friday. Glennon rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, and also threw for 163 yards and three touchdowns. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in November of 2023. He has become a key player for Alonso: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.
Glennon must have Plant City's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Glennon saw the Raiders), he rushed for 185 yards on only 15 carries, and also threw for 157 yards and two touchdowns.
