GUEYDAN, La. -
Dylan Blair ran for two touchdowns and
Gary Roberts added two as well as
Highland Baptist Christian (New Iberia, La.) bested Gueydan (La.) 49-14 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by
Logan Jordan in the first quarter, the Bears were up 28-6 at the half.
Highland Baptist Christian expanded its lead to 35 points entering the fourth quarter. HBC scored four times in the third, including once on a Blair touchdown run.
With the win the New Iberia school extended its winning streak to five games. Highland Baptist Christian defeated Central Catholic 34-28 last week.
The loss was the fourth in a row for the Bears.
Gueydan (0-4) will play a 1A District 7 game against Vermilion Catholic next week, while Highland Baptist Christian (5-0) will take on Vermilion Catholic also in a 1A District 7 game.
