7A District 6 recap Oct. 9, 2012
Osceola extended the longest winning streak in 7A District 6 this week by beating St. Cloud, 43-0. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Gateway and Liberty played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Gateway eventually emerging with a 9-6 victory.
Osceola's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. DAEQUAN HARRISON threw for 121 and four touchdowns and SANTIAGO HOFFMAN had 70 yards receiving. On the ground STAFON McCRAY chipped in 106 yards. JOSH ANTOINE helped Osceola's passing attack out by catching one ball for 51 yards.
Celebration's William Santry and Johnny Victor have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Santry has thrown for 678 yards this season, while Victor, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 12 catches for 303 yards. Doug Nichols' team's McCRAY leads the league in rushing yards with 631.
