Even though the King Wolves scored an imposing 66 points on Wednesday, the Santiago Sharks still came out on top. Santiago took their contest against King 74-66. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Santiago.
King lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Justin Brayard, who scored 17 points. Mathias Tinker was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Santiago now has a winning record of 14-13. As for King, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Santiago will face off against Norco at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Norco is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for King, they will head out on the road to square off against Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Centennial knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 matches -- so hopefully King likes a good challenge.
