After a string of seven wins, Katella's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 4-1 to the Kennedy Fighting Irish. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fighting Irish apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2021.

Hector Perez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Katella's loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Kennedy, they pushed their record up to 12-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
