Kaelyn Dales made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Dales wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Fleming, who went 3-for-4 with one run. That's the most hits Fleming has posted since back in March of 2024.
Meanwhile, Lee had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.1 runs) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Tuesday. They never let the Blue Tornado get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory.
The result came thanks to Avery Weston's shutout, as she gave up just five hits and racked up 11 Ks.
At the plate, Hailee Ewing was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Lee's win was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Central Wise, their record is now 12-8.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Central Wise hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Lee struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Central Wise might still be hurting after the 12-2 loss they got from Lee in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
