The Boone Central Cardinals put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lakeview 49-7 at home. The result was nothing new for Boone Central, who have now won eight games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Boone Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but PARKER BORER led the charge by rushing for 145 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. BORER hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of JAMES FOGLEMAN, who rushed for 76 yards and three touchdowns.
Boone Central's victory was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.4 points per game. As for Lakeview, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Boone Central will square off against Auburn at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Auburn's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last three matchups. Lakeview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
