Fort Dorchester was led to victory by Jordan Wright and Cazz Williams. Wright scored nine points along with eight rebounds and seven assists, while Williams scored 17 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Washington, who scored seven points along with three blocks.
When it comes to explaining why Ashley Ridge lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jahlil Hope. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 19 points and 17 rebounds. Hope is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. Tre Green was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Even though they lost, Ashley Ridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Dorchester only pulled down five offensive rebounds.
Fort Dorchester's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Ashley Ridge, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season.
Fort Dorchester will head out on the road to face off against Stall at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ashley Ridge, they will be playing at home against West Ashley at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Ashley and Ashley Ridge are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
