The Upton Bobcats won the last time they faced the Sundance Bulldogs, and things went their way on Saturday too. Upton had just enough and edged Sundance out 37-35. The win made it back-to-back wins for Upton.
Despite the loss, Sundance saw an underclassman step up: Jaylin Mills scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. Mills scored a full 37.1% of Sundance's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Lexie Marchant was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Upton's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Sundance, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Upton will stay at home for another game and welcome Cokeville at 5:00 p.m. on December 15th. Sundance will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Newcastle at 5:30 p.m. on December 14th. Hopefully Newcastle focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 on Saturday.
