Woodland has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Isabella Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Thursday, Woodland earned a 35-27 win over Fayetteville. The win was just what Woodland needed coming off of a 41-7 loss in their prior matchup.
Woodland got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Bradley Brasher out in front who picked up 123 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Brasher was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 65 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Malakai Drummond, who rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Isabella beat Vincent 35-28 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Isabella.
It was another big night for Elijah Kendrick, who rushed for 130 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 100 yards and a touchdown while completing 83.3% of his passes.
Woodland's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Isabella, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Woodland was taken down by Isabella 48-14 in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Will Woodland have more luck at home instead of on the road?
