Baseball Recap: Lake Washington Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Lake Washington walked away with it. They beat the Puyallup Vikings on Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-1. The result was nothing new for the Kangaroos, who have now won 12 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Lake Washington has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Puyallup, their defeat ended a 23-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 29-2.

Coming up, Lake Washington will square off against Eastlake at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wolves will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Kangaroos surely won't give up without a fight. As for Puyallup, they will face off against Jackson at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 2.6, the Timberwolves 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
