After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Silver Creek, the Holy Family Tigers were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They strolled past Greeley Central with points to spare, taking the game 57-39. That's another feather in the cap for Holy Family, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Holy Family to victory were Joseph Portillo jr and Gabe Tafoya. Portillo jr scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, while Tafoya scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Schott, who scored four points along with two steals.
Greeley Central's loss came despite strong showings from Abdirahman Dahir and Reid Arlo richardson. Dahir scored 14 points, while Arlo richardson scored 14 points along with two steals. Daniel Martinez was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Holy Family's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-7. As for Greeley Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11.
