The Bluejacket Chieftains will head out to  face off against the Colcord Hornets  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their  matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Colcord will be up against a hot Bluejacket  team: the  squad just extended their winning streak to three. Bluejacket's pitchers stepped up to hand Oaks-Mission  a   7-0 shutout  on Tuesday. Fans of the Chieftains have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+  runs.

  Bryson Shaffer was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing  Two bases. while going 1-for-2. Shaffer is  crushing it when it comes to  stolen bases: he's   snagged at least two every time he's  taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  PJ Rowe, who  scored a  run and  stole  Three bases.
 Meanwhile, Colcord gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener  on Monday. They were the clear victor by  a  20-10 margin over Welch. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Bluejacket's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Colcord,  with the  win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-0.
 Bluejacket might still be hurting after the  12-4 loss they got from Colcord  in their previous matchup  back in March of 2024. Can Bluejacket avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
