MaxPreps 2014-15 South Carolina Boys Basketball Fab 5 presented by the Army National Guard

1. Wando (Mt. Pleasant)
2013-14 record: 25-4, Class AAAA champion
Coach: David Eaton

Eaton delivered the school's first-ever basketball state title by defeating Hillcrest, 65-50, in the Class AAAA title game. Things just get better for the Warriors as the top scorers from the championship game, all-state junior guard Jamez Rogers (25 points) and senior guard Amp Moore (13) return in 2014-15.

2. Hillcrest (Simpsonville)
2013-14 record: 25-5, Class AAAA runner-up
Coach: Reggie Choplin

The Rams took down undefeated Irmo in the AAAA semifinals to earn a title game berth, but Wando proved too much. This year look for Hillcrest to make its way back thanks to the return of all-state performer Randall Shaw (16 points in title game) and a host of others.

3. Flora (Columbia)
2013-14 record: 20-9, Class AAA champion
Coach: Leon Brunson

Flora won last year's AAA title in dramatic fashion — a 51-42 overtime thriller against Darlington. The Falcons are the favorite to repeat with the return of all-state guard Rion Davis, who scored 11 points in the title game. Fellow seniors James Murray-Boyles (6-6, F) and Karl Gamble (6-9, F/C) return to give Brunson's squad some serious size up front.

4. Dorman (Roebuck)
2013-14 record: 22-5, Class AAAA Region 2 champion
Coach: Thomas Ryan

The Cavaliers gave Hillcrest all it could handle but eventually lost in the second round last season. This year Dorman should be even stronger with the return of all-state performer J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, a Stanford football commit.

5. 22ft Academy (Greenville, S.C.)
2013-14 record: 33-7
Coach: Ryan Schmidt

Though they don't compete in the SCHSL, it's hard to say that 22ft Academy isn't one of the best five teams in the state this season. Boasting players from around the globe, Schmidt's team is led by point guard JoJo Anderson, who is being recruited by Baylor, Creighton and Nebraska. Another top recruit on the team is Sedee Keita, a rangy 6-9 forward with tons of upside.
