The Anderson Christian Lions will head out on the road to face off against the King Academy Knights at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Anderson Christian and 13 for King Academy.
Anderson Christian suffered their biggest defeat since December 11, 2023 on Friday. Their rough 52-27 loss to Oconee Christian Academy might stick with them for a while.
Meanwhile, King Academy's 23-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They were dealt a 57-27 defeat at the hands of Cambridge Academy on Friday.
Anderson Christian bumped their record down to 1-13 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.7 points per game. As for King Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.
Anderson Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against King Academy when the teams last played last Friday, but they still walked away with a 41-36 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Anderson Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
