After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Soap Lake, the Tekoa-Rosalia Timberwolves were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They walked away with a 72-59 win over Columbia. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Isaac Bone was a one-man wrecking crew for Tekoa-Rosalia as he almost dropped a triple-double on 34 points, 9 rebounds, and 11 assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Bone has scored at least 25% of Tekoa-Rosalia's points. Vanden Allen was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with 9 rebounds.
Tekoa-Rosalia now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Columbia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tekoa-Rosalia will take on Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Columbia, they will be playing at home against Curlew at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Curlew focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Saturday.
