Basketball Recap: Jakob Ramos Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Citrus Valley

Northview saw some tournament action on Monday. They came out on top against the Citrus Valley Blackhawks by a score of 55-42. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jakob Ramos, who went 7 for 13 on his way to 19 points and three steals. Ramos has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Mena, who went 6 of 7 on his way to 12 points and five assists.

Citrus Valley's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kayden Gaines, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 17 points and three steals, and Aidan Todd, who posted ten points and seven boards. The dominant performance also gave Todd a new career-high in assists (four).

Northview is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-11 record this season. As for Citrus Valley, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

Northview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 40-28 loss against West Covina on the 7th. As for Citrus Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 56-43 win against Redlands on the 7th.
