River City extended their losing streak  to three  on Friday, dropping them down to 3-5. They had to suffer through  a    48-14 loss at the hands of the Vanden Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 599th, while the Vikings are ranked 184th).
As for Vanden,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 6-2. The  contest marked their most dominant  win of the  season.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Vanden to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Jamarkus Banks, who rushed for 90 yards and one  TD, and also caught one  touchdown. Those  90  rushing yards gave  Banks a new career-high.  Pherone Oates was another key player, rushing for 79 yards on only seven carries.

Meanwhile, Vanden is set to  take on  their familiar foe Wood  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 876 yards in their previous games.
