The Tampa Prep Terrapins put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 61-45 victory over Plant. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Tampa Prep has scored all year.
Tampa Prep got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Christian Fuller out in front who scored 16 points along with eight assists and four steals. That's the first time this season that Fuller posted eight or more assists. Ben Jackson was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds.
Tampa Prep's victory was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24.58 points. As for Plant, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3.
Tampa Prep and Clearwater Central Catholic will face off at 4:00 p.m. on December 28, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Averaging 54.6 so far this season, Clearwater Central Catholic's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Tampa Prep better be ready for a challenge. Plant's road trip will continue as they head out to face Bell at 3:30 p.m. on December 27, 2023. Bell comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
