The Rangeview Raiders fought the good fight in their overtime game against the Rocky Mountain Lobos on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 71-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lobos. While losing is never fun, Rangeview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while Rocky Mountain is ranked 28th).
Leading Rocky Mountain to victory were Kenna Wagner and Sara Chicco. Wagner dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds, while Chicco scored 28 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. The contest was Wagner's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Meela Delap, who scored 10 points.
Rangeview has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Rocky Mountain, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Rangeview will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Broomfield at 7:00 p.m. on December 13th. Broomfield is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Rocky Mountain, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Mountain View at 1:00 p.m.
