Valeria Lopez was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
Lopez wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Valerie Lozano-Prado, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
