The Soroco Rams''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 68-26 loss at the hands of Rangely. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Soroco in their matchups with Rangely: they've now lost four in a row.
Gage Fielder was on fire for Rangely: he rushed for 172 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Fielder was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Scott, who picked up 89 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Soroco's loss was their fifth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-7. As for Rangely, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Soroco will take on Hayden at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Hayden is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. As for Rangely, they will look to defend their home field on October 27th against Vail Christian at 7:00 p.m. Vail Christian will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
