The North Harrison Cougars fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Trinity Lutheran Cougars on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Cougars 59-53. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for North Harrison in their matchups with Trinity Lutheran: they've now lost four in a row.
Trinity Lutheran's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madison Keith, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Keith is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Marley Warren, who scored 19 points along with three steals.
North Harrison has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Trinity Lutheran, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
North Harrison will be home for the holidays to greet Clarksville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Clarksville is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Trinity Lutheran, they will head out on the road to face off against New Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
