Glendale has been on the road for three straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Kickapoo Chiefs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Even though Glendale has not done well against Lebanon recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Glendale took down Lebanon 68-50. Given Glendale's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 55th, while Lebanon is ranked 266th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Kickapoo had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.3 points), and they went ahead and made it 11 on Thursday. They put the hurt on West Plains with a sharp 58-35 victory. Kickapoo has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 22 points or more this season.
Glendale is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which somehow isn't as good as their 17-5 record this season. As for Kickapoo, their win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-1.
Things could have been worse for Glendale, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 78-59 loss to Kickapoo in their previous meeting back in February of 2023.
