There's no place like home for the Loretto Mustangs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They took down Cornersville 60-42 on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Loretto, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Loretto was led to victory by Jenny Clifton and Ally Weathers. Clifton scored 17 points, while Weathers scored 26 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Weathers has scored at least 25% of Loretto's points. Ce'Andra Reynolds was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
Loretto now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Cornersville, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Loretto won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lincoln County at 6:00 p.m. on December 2nd. As for Cornersville, they will be playing at home against Community at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Community focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
