The Indianapolis Arsenal Technical Titans pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were outmatched by North Central at home and fell 86-57. While losing is never fun, Indianapolis Arsenal Technical can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while North Central is ranked 47th).
Despite the loss, Indianapolis Arsenal Technical still got an impressive performance from Jayden Ford, who scored 21 points along with 8 rebounds. Ford is absolutely dominating the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Elexander Harris, who scored 15 points.
Even though they lost, Indianapolis Arsenal Technical were working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Central only posted 24.
North Central can attribute much of their success to Papi Rivera, who scored 19 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxson Bell, who scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds.
Indianapolis Arsenal Technical now has a losing record at 1-2. As for North Central, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Indianapolis Arsenal Technical will take on Liberty Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Liberty Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Friday. As for North Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Cathedral at 7:30 p.m. on December 9th. One thing working in Cathedral's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
