The Desert Christian Academy Conquerors will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Indio Rajahs at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Desert Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Indio likes a good challenge.
Desert Christian Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They breezed by Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School on the road to the tune of 78-29. The result was nothing new for Desert Christian Academy, who have now won five matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Augustine Youssef continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 4-for-6 from downtown and dropping a double-double on 30 points and 13 rebounds. The contest was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Garrison, who scored seven points along with 12 rebounds and three steals.
Indio has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 28 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped last Friday as they easily beat Desert Mirage 98-17 at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 55-9.
Desert Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Indio, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.
