The Riverview Sarasota Rams will face off against the North Port Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Riverview Sarasota has five straight wins, North Port has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Not much got past Allison Cole, who gave up just three hits and racked up 15 Ks to keep Manatee off the board. Cole has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Isabelle Bain, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. That run marked the first that she scored this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicolette Forkan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, North Port came up short against Venice on Tuesday, falling 11-2.
North Port saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lauren Boff, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
North Port's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Riverview Sarasota, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.
North Port's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Riverview Sarasota has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 14.2 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for North Port, though, as they've been averaging only 3.5 strikeouts. Will Riverview Sarasota keep running through batters, or will North Port buck the trend?
